Irn People Brooch small 1

Irn People is a series of brooches, all unique, all handmade from reclaimed Irn Bru cans. Surprised with the amounts of flat cans in the streets of Glasgow, I began collecting all the Irn Bru cans I would find on het daily commute. After collecting well over 1200 empty Irn Bru cans, I melted them all down to liquid aluminium, which I used to cast new sustainable miniature brooches and busts using the lost-foam technique. One street-found can gives about 10 grams useable aluminium. Each brooch is hand-made and unique.

This particular brooch is 3 cm high.
